The Nation's Only Prostate Cancer License Plate -- Here in Utah!

March 30th marked a red letter day for UCFACI when Governor Gary Herbert signed Senate Bill 313 which authorized a special license plate for prostate cancer.

This is the only prostate cancer license plate in the U.S. and is the culmination of a two year effort on the part of UCFACI to make it happen.  UCFACI extends extra special thanks to Senator Ben McAdams for initiating the bill in the Senate and to Representative Mike Noel for “carrying” the bill in the House.  It passed the legislature on March 8th just two days before adjournment.

This plate is especially important in Utah as we have the second highest incidence rate in the U.S. and there is little effort to raise awareness about this disease.  We hope that these plates will bring awareness to, and provide funding for, this vital issue.

The plate will become available on October 1st and will include a $25 fee that will go into a special Prostate Cancer Fund.

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
